Ball Mill Usable Range Ball mill is the key equipment for regrinding the materials which have been crushed. It is widely used in cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractory materials, fertilizer, ferrous metal, nonferrous metal and glass ceramics which can be used for dry and wet grinding for all kinds of ore and other materials. Function in Mining Industry Ores are crushed by Jaw Crusher and then the rough materials are conveyed into Ball Mill by elevator and the materials could be regrinded. Then the fine materials come into next procedure: separating. Structure Ball mill is composed by feeding part, discharge part and driving part (reducer, small driving gear, electric motor and electric control). The quill shaft adopts cast steel part and the liner is detachable. The machine is with stable and reliable working condition. Moreover, according to different materials and discharging methods, there are dry ball mills and wet ball mills for choice. Working Principle This ball mill is horizontal type and tubular running device, has two warehouses. This machine is grid type and its outside runs along gear. The first warehouse has scalariform and corrugate liner plate and steel ball with different specifications. The second warehouse has flat liner plate and steel ball. The materials come into the first warehouse through feeding equipment. Under the centrifugal force which is produced by the rotation of the barrel body of the ball mill, the steel ball will fall down from a certain height. The steel ball will thump and grind the materials. The rough grinded materials come into the second warehouse and will be regrinded to the needed fineness. Generally, the biggish materials need to separate the grindingbody into two parts and need two times grind. And the smaller particle size materials don’t need two warehouses, such as, sand, slag No.2, rough coal ash, etc. Maintenance and Repair Maintenance and repair is a frequentative job and it directly influences the running rate and working life. 1. All the lubricating oil need let out and change when the ball mill put into use for one month. Later, it should be replaced about every 6 months. 2. The temperature rising of main shaft doesn’t above *5℃ when the machine is running. 3. The temperature rising of drive bearing and reduction gear doesn’t above *5℃ and max. doesn’t beyond *0℃. 4. Change and add steel balls according to the abrasion. 5. Please change the liner plate when *0% of it has been abraded or it has *0mm crack. Three Ways to Improve the Output of Ball Mill 1.
